Tim, This is what IMO is doing. They have been wadeing thru a flood of
radiants, subradiants, possible radiants, sometime radiants and someone's own
interpretation of being a radiant that in some areas it was best to start
from scratch and see what materilizes. A lot of those minor radiants in the
Sco/Sgr complex were listed for a long time until recently. After several
years of data collecting it was all given a hard look to see what is real or
realistic in terms of visual detectability. Last year the list was reduced to
it's present form. this doesn't mean it will be permanent of course. On
going work will most likely dictate changes again. But there is nothing wrong
with doing your own project as you indicated. But plottings are needed here
to compare everyone's work. I was out last night for 6 hours of observing
and it was a very slow night...only 24 meteors from 10pm till 4:20 pm. I
didn't see any real fireworks to the South to tell the truth. However, I
started looking towards the north area at about 2:30 am and was feeling some
suspicions that something might be going on there. I will try the north
tonight and see if I can pick anything out of it for sure...
