(meteorobs) August 18/19 1998 observation
Here is my observation on August 18/19, from my dark site at Casselman,
ON.
I observed almost 5 hours (4.79 teff) under very good conditions. It was
a cool but haze free night. Kappa Cygnids were not present at all. The
Perseids were active with 18 seen, but they remained below sporadic rates
for most of the night. A few North Iota Aquarids and a couple of late
North Delta Aquarids also seen. Brightest meteors were a pair of Perseids
at magnitude -1, leaving 1.5 and 2 seconds trains. One of the NIA produced
a distinct orange color. It was at magnitude +2 and moved a long 20 degree
before vanishing.
