The important thing to remember,it is not the number of meteors you see,
but an accurate count of what is observed on a particular night. It would
be of great value to have observers out every night, not just during peak or
near shower peak nights. Unfortunately, this is like watching paint dry and
not at all exciting to visual observers. It's too bad that an auto
recording all-sky camera that can reach faint magnitudes has not been
developed. On the other hand, this would eliminate the need for visual
observers! Relax folks, such an all-sky camera is probably still a long way
off so keep observing. ;-)
