The Great Jackson Lakes Fireball

  • Subject: The Great Jackson Lakes Fireball

In 1972 a large meteoroid – or, if you prefer, a small asteroid – entered the Earth’s atmosphere and skipped back out into space.

James M. Baker was filming some holiday shots at Great Jackson Lakes near the Teton Mountains in Wyoming and managed to capture the Earth Grazer on film.

If the object had impacted it would have made quite a crater!
